Cave Lodge

Here are photos from Cave Lodge where mom and I went a few weeks ago. We took a public bus and then a motorcycle taxi to get there.

This was the biggest cave I think I've ever been to, maybe except for Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. At Carlsbad Caverns you take an elevator down to the cave and its all lit up by fake lighting - very westernized experience. At Cave Lod, you pay a local guide with an oil lamp to show you around,  winding around rickety staircases covered in bird poo. Even inside the cave is suprisingly hot.

Guides chillaxing outside the cave

Hiking back to our bungalow at Cave Lodge we came across this meditation cave.

And also these cute water buffalo. At least thats what we think they are.

Big scary horns!
